A colour theory is a guidance to colour mixing and the effects of a colour combination. A colour theory has different categories such as the colour wheel and the colour context.

The colour wheel was first developed by Sir Isaac Newton in 1966. It is based on the colours red, yellow and blue. There are different opinions on the colour wheel but overall it is the arranged sequence of the colours.

A colour context is how a colour behaves in relation to other colours and shaped in a complex area of colour theory.
