First idea

First Idea

At first I decided that my look would have the eyebrows kept in and this was because i found it the easiest way to make a look contemporary since thick  eyebrows are in fashion right now. On the lids I wanted to keep the colour very simple with just a matte brown colour all over the lid to add definition. As for the face I decided to go with heavy contouring on the right side to show modern day and a bright pink blush on the centre of the cheeks on the left side to show links to Elizabethan make up. Another factor that made this look Elizabethan was the lip colour. I decided to go with bright red in the middle of the lips and a brown around it to show aspects of tudor cosmetics.

Second Idea

For my second face chart I decided to go with blocked brows and this was because after research I realised that blocked/bleached brows are very much into fashion which meant this aspect of my final make up design could be seen as both contemporary Elizabethan make up and Elizabethan make up. I kept the idea of having one side different to the other from my first idea however I changed it from the cheeks to the eyes. The left side of the eye will be softer and defined with a matte brown eyeshadow and the right side will be heavily made up with dark colours in a non even design. As for the face I really liked Elizabeths pale face which is why I kept it pale. Heavily contoured cheeks with a bright red cheek and lip. This make up look has a mix of contemporary and traditional Elizabethan make up which is what I was going for especially with the colour red.
