Soft Contour

Step 1 - Apply where needed on the face from the sides of the cheekbones, jaw and sides of the nose.
Step 2- Apply a grease base to the face without powdering and making sure it is blended well into the hairline.
Step 3- With our fingers we then felt the face structure of the client by making them suck in their cheeks.
Step 4- With a darker shade of concealer shade under the cheekbone and other places that desire contouring such as jaw and nose and then blend it out with a brush.
Step 5 - Blend well with the foundation for a everyday contour.
DO NOT apply highlight on problematic areas such as blemishes as lighter shades will pull things out making it more obvious.
Step 6- To highlight use a concealer lighter than the foundation and place on desired areas of highlight such as brow bone, cheekbones, nose, forehead etc.
Step 7 - BLEND everything out
Step 8- POWDER OVER POWDER GREASE OVER GREASE
Step 9 - Powder until the grease based products are no longer sticky on the face and then use a dark brown powder over the previous contour and a light colour over the previous highlight.
Step 10- Apply blusher to the apples of the cheeks
Overall, i wasn't pleased with the outcome of my first try as I wanted to avoid harsh lines by using a light hand but instead the contour looked too soft and almost impossible to see. I liked the softness of the blusher and the highlight but to improve i would use darker colours to control under the cheekbones to bring out the face structure.
